Photo Inspiration

Some of you might know that I am trying hard to improve my camera and photography knowledge.
Today I have practiced portrait photography and have some that are pretty good – at least I think.
After doing this before lunch I was in the mood to continue but not with portraits.
The images above are made in my garden and I felt like painting with watercolour while working with them.
They are made by moving your camera while activating the shutter.
I think they could be inspiration for paintings, mixed media, quilts etc.

Weekly Pattern Wednesday

This week I decided it was time for playing with a box pattern in PS.
I wrapped yarn around a box and scanned the most interesting parts of the box.
This box had a front and back I liked. The images were slightly changed in PS, colored, turned and layered. This gives me so many possibilities and the black and white go well as a thermofax.

Please visit Weekly Pattern Wednesday to see all the other patterns made for this week and all the previous weeks.

Small Mixed Media Work

These were one piece until I cut them up today.
The piece has been waiting for a decision on what to do with it.
Though I liked it a lot it didn’t work quite well and I thought I could see 3 small pieces in it.
So here they are.
Materials: paper, acrylic paint for painting and printing, thread and plastic (a potato bag).

Weekly Pattern Wednesday

Pattern week 31a

It is Weekly Pattern Wednesday today and I thought it could be fun to play with a stack of bowls.
So here they are. It was very nice to work with these bowls – the drawing ended up being drawn using a template. For the colouring I used colour pencils.
Very nice and smooth for the hand.

I had hoped to finish one of my larger quilts last week but I ended up sorting paper folders.
Several of my old course material are now using space on my pc instead of shelf space. It feels so nice that I might continue next week.

———————————

Weekly Pattern Wednesday

Cat or Fox?

Cat or Fox?

Some days ago I opened a new tube of black watercolour paint.
Luckily I held it over a piece of plastic where it in a split second ended as you can see above.
I think it looks like a cat or a little fox. What do you think it looks like?

I tried to add some lines and remove some and ended up with the drawing below but I don’t think I can do it any better than the paint itself.
